Utica Mental Health Hub Court

Oneida County

Utica City Mental Health Hub Court is helping individuals work towards a new life free of crime and addictive behavior and helps them take control of any mental health issues.

Mental Health Court is for people who have admitted that they have committed a crime, and who acknowledged that they have an underlying mental health problem, possibly coupled with an addiction problem, leading them toward criminal behavior.  This program is part of the Utica criminal court system, and provides a possible way to resolve charges without a record or jail for those following the program.

In order to qualify, medical, psychiatric, and other histories have been reviewed.  Once approved, individuals will sit down with a Coordinator/Case Manager and develop an Individual Recovery Plan.  The recovery plan will identify the mental health, addiction, and other problems that cause roadblocks to a healthy and legal lifestyle.
