We’re turning 100! Helio Health was first established in 1920 as The Sagola Club, a home for women in need of housing supports. In 1938, in response to community needs, the organization changed its name to Syracuse Brick House and later became one of Central New York’s first community residences for men with alcoholism. Since then the organization has continued to grow to serve the ongoing needs of the community. Today, Helio Health represents one of the largest behavioral healthcare organizations in the region, annually serving over 10,000 individuals. From the original house on Green Street to a comprehensive behavioral healthcare organization, Helio Health is committed to providing hope and healing for individuals working towards recovery. We look forward to serving the community for another 100 years!
Throughout 2020 we’ll be reflecting on the past 100 years and the milestones that lead us to where we are today.
Join us on Saturday, September 19th at 6pm at the OnCenter as we celebrate our 100 year anniversary. The evening will include scrumptious dining, a silent auction, and big-band entertainment provided by renowned musician Ronnie Leigh and friends. It is sure to be one of the biggest parties of the century as we dance through the decades.
